Chester Profeta, MSN, PMHNP-BC
Board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner and founder of BrainHelp Psychiatric Services in San Jose, California.

Background
Chester has more than 16 years of healthcare experience, including seven years in acute inpatient telemetry, four years in high-acuity inpatient psychiatry, and outpatient psychiatric care. He earned his Master of Science in Nursing as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Maryville University and has completed more than 3,000 psychiatric patient visits.
He teaches as a BSN and MSN PMHNP clinical instructor, helping train the next generation of nurses and nurse practitioners. That teaching background is a big part of how he practices: he explains psychiatric concepts clearly, without jargon or rushed answers.
Chester founded BrainHelp after seeing how many capable students and young professionals were held back not by a lack of ability, but by untreated ADHD, anxiety, depression, and burnout.
Approach
Chester combines evidence-based medication management with supportive therapy and a collaborative, patient-centered approach. He listens to your full story, looks for the root cause, and builds a plan around your goals, working alongside your therapist, primary care provider, and school or employer when needed.
