I'm here to help.

Chester Profeta, PMHNP-BC

I'm Chester Profeta, a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with over 16 years of healthcare experience, including seven years in acute inpatient telemetry, four years in high-acuity inpatient psychiatry, outpatient psychiatric care, and experience as a BSN/MSN/PMHNP Clinical Instructor. I founded BrainHelp after seeing countless students and young professionals held back not by a lack of ability, but by untreated ADHD, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. My approach combines evidence-based medication management with a collaborative, patient-centered philosophy, ensuring each treatment plan is tailored to the individual's goals and circumstances. I provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and ongoing care for ADHD, anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), borderline personality disorder, and other common psychiatric conditions, helping patients regain confidence, stability, and the ability to thrive in school, work, and everyday life.

Does This Sound Familiar?

You don't have to keep pushing through alone

These are the real experiences we hear from patients every week — students, professionals, and adults alike. Every one of them is treatable with the right care.

You know you're capable — but you can't seem to follow through.

Tasks pile up. Deadlines slip. You open your laptop and just… can't start. You've been called lazy or unfocused, but you know that's not it. You work twice as hard for half the output.

You're ready to understand what's actually happening in your brain — and finally work with it instead of against it.

Exams fill you with a dread you can't explain.

You know the material. But when the test starts, your mind goes blank. For nursing, PA, or med students, every board exam feels like your entire future on the line.

You want to perform at the level your preparation deserves — calm, focused, and confident when it matters most.

You wake up exhausted and wonder where your motivation went.

The drive that once came naturally has completely disappeared. You feel disconnected from work, school, and people you care about. Getting through the day takes everything you have.

You're ready to feel like yourself again — motivated, energized, and present in your own life.

The anxiety never fully turns off.

Even when things are going well, your mind is running worst-case scenarios. You can't sleep before a big deadline. You're always bracing for something to go wrong — at work, at school, or at home.

You want to feel settled in your own body — to stop surviving and start actually living your life.

Background

A career built on helping people perform at their best

Chester's path into psychiatric care was shaped by years at the intersection of clinical medicine and education — as a bedside nurse and as a BSN and MSN PMHNP Clinical Instructor shaping the next generation of healthcare providers. That combination gave him something rare: the ability to communicate complex psychiatric concepts clearly and design treatment plans that are both evidence-based and genuinely practical for busy, high-achieving people.

After seeing firsthand how untreated ADHD, anxiety, and burnout derail talented students, professionals, and adults across every stage of life, Chester founded BrainHelp to fill a real gap — compassionate, specialized psychiatric care via telehealth, without the waiting lists, commute, or stigma of walking into a clinic.

Chester takes a collaborative, evidence-informed approach — combining medication management with psychoeducation, practical strategies, and coordination with your therapists, schools, and employers as needed.
